As an alter boy at St. Louis in the 1960's I was privileged to light many candles. I do so again in honor of Elaine. Perhaps the most heartfelt candle I every offered.

I have lovely memories of growing up With my family sharing so many happy times with the Pugliese family. We celebrated birthdays, holidays, fishing trips, and picnics. Mrs. Pugliese Was always the kindest sweetest mother … I will forever remember her voice and pleasant demeanor. I will certainly miss her, but I am so grateful to have known her.

Elaine was wonderful. She was like a sister to Dwight and a favorite cousin to me. I can think of not one negative thing to say about her. She was thoughtful, kind, and loving, always smiling. I will always treasure the time she came to Lancaster and Gettysburg with me. Her entire family is great, due in a large part to her. I am sure she is now smiling with her family in heaven. I look forward to seeing her again.

I was so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. How lucky for you to have had her with you all these years. I have fond memories of your family in Florida and your parents at Conesus Lake. No one made Eggplant Parmigana like Elaine! Now she has your dad by her side. And Heaven gained a very sweet angel.

Memories of Elaine have flooded my mind in reading of her passing . She was an Angel on earth and know she has been given a high place in heaven. I met Elaine through my sister Sally, her neighbor down the street. Each year I came to visit we all got together for coffee, a game of bridge, lunch or a visit. One year, Sally and Elaine came to Montana to visit us and it was so fun to show off our State. I loved seeing the pictures of her wedding and time with her husband. They were a beautiful couple. My thoughts and prayers are with her and you all. Susan MacPherson

It was an honor to know Mrs Pugliese for most of my life. I know and love the whole family and had many great times with them all. She always treated myself, and everyone very kindly and made me feel like part of the family and she will be missed by everyone who knew her. May God Bless and keep you always, Say Hi to Patrick and we will see you again one day. My thoughts and prayers and hugs are with the whole family. I will never forget you.
