Obituary of Stephen D. Heffron
Passed away suddenly on July 28, 2024, at age 69. Predeceased by his loving wife, Debra Yale Heffron; Father, Donald Heffron. Survived by children, Abbie Heffron of Phoenix, Arizona, and David Heffron of Rochester, New York; Mother, H. Caroline Heffron; Brothers, Dick (Carrie) and David (Lisa) Heffron; Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Steve was an avid boater, taking many cruises through the Great Lakes with his family. He was a longtime member of the Rochester Power Squadron, Pultneyville Yacht Club, Oak Park Marina, the Sodus Bay Maritime Captain’s Association, and Captain of the Colonial Belle, Sampatch, and Mary Jemison tour boats. He also devoted much of his later life to teaching boating safety and Captain’s licensing through his business North Coast Marine Training.
Steve was also an active camper, guitar enthusiast, and always enjoyed buying and tinkering with new “toys”.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 6th from 1-3pm and 5-7pm at Falvo Funeral Home 1295 Fpt. Nine Mile Pt. Rd. Webster, N.Y. 14580. On Wednesday, please meet the family at 9:30am at Church of the Assumption 20 East Ave Fairport, N.Y. 14450 for his Funeral Mass. Interment private.
Stephen was honored to be able to make a gift of organ donation.
