Gary mentored me early in my career at United Cerebral Palsy Association. He was incredibly generous with his support and advice. He was also a great innovator and understood the power of positive change. He always helped me see the big picture. I remember meeting him after he left UCP at lunch hour when he worked at VNS for a vigorous walk where we always did our best talking and thinking. I remember talking with him at UCP and seeing the pictures on his desk when he was first starting his family, and I know his boys were his greatest joy. I learned a lot from him and what he shared will stay with me always. All the best to his beloved family. Elizabeth Lynam, Executive Director, Program Development Services, NYC

I’m so sorry for your loss. I worked with Gary just for one academic year at the Shepherd Home as a social work student intern in 2018. I loved when our shifts coincided. He was such a pleasure to talk to and was so encouraging to me in my social work pursuits. Rest n peace, Gary. You’ve made such a difference in this world!

I’m sending my heartfelt condolences to Alex and the family. Gary was a dear friend for over 40 years and we shared the ups and downs of life. He was the consummate “Good Man” who loved helping others. He leaves a legacy of helping people who needed help. I will miss him very deeply. May he Rest In Peace.
