Roger and I , Jerry Cook, both moved into Building 800 when the building was new. We immediately became friends. We had so much in common. Roger worked at Kodak in DP&P (data processing and payrol) and I worked in Kodak Engineering Computing. Our two departments had frequent meetings to coordinate efforts in the emerging digital computing world. I can recall a few meetings that we both attended. I often walk in the morning and listen to music while walking. One of the songs on my play list is Paul Simon's "Kodachrome." I think of my friend every time I hear that song. We both were sports nuts as we frequently talked about the Bills and the Syracuse Orange men's basketball team. Living in the same building for almost 11 years our bond and friendship grew. Roger loved to play euchre. He initiated our euchre group. We will continue the group but I will always think of my friend when I enter the game room. The last few months of his life were tough on Roger and yet he always smiled and greeted each individual as they entered the card room. I will miss you buddy but I know your pain is over. Thanks for your special friendship.
