Obituary of Vincent Joseph Falbo

With profound sadness, the family of Vincent J. Falbo announces his passing after a significant but brief illness.  Vinnie was devoted to and is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years and best friend, Dina.  He will be forever missed by his three cherished daughters and their spouses: Laurie (Randal) Fiammi, Lisa (Louis) Alaimo and Dina (Brian) Donohue.  His precious grandchildren: Anthony (Larissa) Fiammi, Brianna (Philip) Damore, Ashley Alaimo (Joseph Nicodemi), Stephen Fiammi, Eric Donohue and Brandon Donohue; brother, Joseph (Joyce) Falbo; sister-in-law, Mary Piccolo; many nieces and nephews.  Providing for his wife and their family was Vinnie’s primary focus and driving force throughout his life.

Vinnie was a well-known and highly respected barber and the owner/operator of Vinnie’s Hair Styling.  For 60 years, his barber shop has been a fixture on West Ridge Road near Dewey Avenue.  His professional excellence, extraordinary work ethic, and affable demeanor attracted hundreds of loyal customers, many of whom became and remain lifelong friends.  Vinnie was also the developer/owner/operator of two prominent retail sites, DiVin Plaza and West Ridge Commons.   Additionally, he was a master general contractor and the builder of 75 custom homes throughout Monroe County.

Predeceased by his parents Vincent A. and Celia (Calcagno) Falbo and brother, Frank Falbo. Vinnie was raised a devout Roman Catholic.  He lived faithfully and is likely reunited with his parents in paradise.

Although know for his passion to keep a meticulous yard and gardens, the pastimes to which Vinnie was most dedicated were those spent in the company of his grandchildren, especially attending sporting events and any of their many other activities.  He treasured vacationing as one, close-knit family, particularly in Italy and Florida.  Vinnie held a special affection for his grand-dogs and great-grand-dogs Sydnie, Saige, Ruby, Rosie, Ziti and Frankie.
