Friday, May 12, 2023, at 3.45 pm the world lost a remarkable man, my very best friend Joseph M. Lobozzo II. If any person on earth was so fortunate to have a such unique, wonderful, loving man as a close friend for over 30 years. They would be so blessed and fortunate as I am.
Joe was someone who makes you so comfortable talking about any subject. When we disagreed, we discussed it, and many times laughed over the subject. We both needed that laughter; it was always lightning and fun.
To say Joe was truly, a sincere, intelligent, remarkable, and kind person would be grossly understated.
He has selfishly helped thousands and thousands of people throughout his life. Giving millions of dollars to numerous charities and organizations to benefit the community he loves and cares for.
He left behind a wonderful family who I have seen give him so much happiness and love, especially in the past few years, and has been constantly by his side. His daughter Jody was remarkable, Jeanna wonderful and his son Joe unique and loving son, and Joanne has always been there for him through the years, his sister Carolyn, niece Carol Ann who called him every day just to say hello, Joe loved the call from her and nephew Jimmy. Joe has told me so many times how fortunate he was and how much he thanked God for having this terrific loving family.
You will be missed by so many people in the world and are so grateful for your brilliant life and successes. Love you always and miss you greatly!
Love,
Jim Flammia

Cousin Joe:
How can we best remember our beloved cousin Joe? His quiet energy, sharp inquisitive, determined manner and balanced. This strong multifaceted man traveled the world both east to west, brilliant at conventions and conferences, happiest with his beloved family and old friends at the Kitchen table eating Carol’s biscotti. Growing up in such a family we all stood straighter and were better because we were held to a higher standard – “tough it out, just do it” He never forgot where he came from- a can do kid from the Bronx and proud of it. We miss you Joe. All our love from your Bianco cousins in Arizona. Fran, Marc, Francesca Lucia, Olivia, Chris, Mia, Nina, Leo & Eva

Joe was a one in a million person. he loved his family, friends and the community. He was a great business man and grew JML to a very profitable company over the many years he owned it. Joe was a dedicated father and grandfather and was always proud of his children and grandchildren. He left a great legacy through all of them and the wonderful contributions he made to the Rochester community. Joe was a very special friend and was always there to help whenever you needed him. He will always be remembered for his kindness and support by me and my family. We will miss him immensely and will never forget him. We loved Joe!! John and Joanne Smith

I recruited Joe into our first E-MBA class at RIT. It was a big event for me because I knew we had a winner and I could use his name to recruit others. We ended up with a class of all stars. After graduation Joe was asked join the Board of Trustees of RIT and became an outstanding board member. He was a generous supporter of the COB at RIT and also a generous supporter of our Not for profit EMA scholarship for which I am personally grateful. I considered Joe a good friend and will always remember that he left this place much better than he found it.

I remember when I first moved to the Rochester area from the Bronx, Joe helped immensely by showing me around and driving me to doctor's appointments since I had been involved in an accident. Joe was always about family, I loved that about him. Joe had a huge heart and will be missed immensely.

My condolences to the Lobozzo family. Joe gave me my first opportunity in optics. I was a 22 year old looking for an internship in sales & marketing and Joe gave me that chance. He took me under his wing on business trips and showed me how it was done. Now 16 years in the industry and I'll never forget the opportunity he gave me and the lessons learned. The world lost a great man who helped so many.
Regards,
Fred Costanza

Joe was a good friend, trusted advisor and business associate of my husband, Tony Marino. Together with their friend, Horst Koch, they had some crazy adventures traveling - riding motorcycles in the desert outside Las Vegas, rock climbing and riding four wheelers in Costa Rica, getting lost in the streets of New Orleans, and who knows what else. They enjoyed each other's company so much. My husband also respected and admired Joe's deep devotion to his Catholic faith, and was so proud to attend the festivities when Joe was named Man of the Year by the Catholic Family Center. Joe's acts of charity can be seen all over town and he never boasted about them. Joe was a many faceted person - successful business man, athlete (running the Boston Marathon several times), friend, father, faithful follower of God, generous supporter of various charities. He will be missed by so many.
Our deepest condolences to his family.
