Marion was born in Long Beach, CA to Laurence and Adell Parker on October 1, 1929.  She graduated from Long Beach Polytechnic High School and went on to receive her teaching degree from the New York State Teachers College at Potsdam in 1950. After teaching in Rochester elementary schools for several years, she married her husband, Al, a graduate of Clarkson College of Technology, in 1953, and they moved to Penfield where they raised five children.  Marion returned to teaching and enjoyed a long career in the Library and Special Education departments in several Webster Central Schools.
