I first met and worked with Len in 1965 at Xerox, when I joined the Maintenance organization that Len was already a part of. Len was a highly skilled person, hard working, and a valued member of his organization. Len had a long and successful supervisory career at Xerox. The obituary very accurately describes the Len LaCara that I knew and respected. My sympathies to his wife, wife Virginia, and to his children and families. Also to his extended family, especially his niece Debra, who I also knew and worked with at Xerox.

He was such a great person. Would see him at Wegmans and he would always acknowledge me with a hug and kiss along with a shot story on how the family was doing. The world lost a great person. May you rest in peace Len, so many people will miss you.

So many knew him across many years, but my memories are from High School, when he was Len's Dad ""Mr. LaCara." Len and I were in the band, and I have so many memories of all my band friends parents who lived near by giving us rides to all the extra-curricular music activities at school. So many of those rides took place in 6 inches or more of snow! One late afternoon, Mr. LaCara was picking us up from school and I got in the car. Len was lagging behind by many minutes for some reason. So while we were waiting, he started doing donuts in the fresh snow in the empty parking lot of Bishop Kearney! I probably would have thought it was even cooler than it was if I knew what a donut was--I had never experienced one before! I didn't really know what the heck was going on! But it definitely was cool, and fun, and it always seemed to be that way at Len and Vinnie's house. I'm sorry I'm going to be out of town on the 28th but Len and your family, you will be in my prayers.
