I just drove by the house and saw it was for sale…which prompted me to search and find sweet Fran’s obituary. I got to be their neighbor on Nine Mile Point Road for 22 years with my late husband Jeff (until his car accident in 2011). We shared a wedding anniversary, October 12! They were the kindest, best neighbors anyone could have. When ever I stopped over, there were always cookies. I’m so sorry I didn’t stop over there after my old house was torn down…it was just too sad…but when I drove by I always thought how much I wish I could turn back the clock, and knock on the garage family room door and see those beautiful smiles again. Love to all of you. Fran and Paul—thank you for your love. God bless you.

I had the pleasure of working with Francis during the summer of 2022. We shared the love of cooking, bird watching, and family. My deepest condolences to the family at the loss of such a dear woman. May her memory always be a blessing. Laurie Decker, Rochester, MY

My 'other Mother' was more than a son-in-law could ever want. She welcomed me into her family with open arms and heart. There was never a doubt that I was an 'other son'. In the early years, she taught me about her family, Italian traditions, and of course Italian food. in later years we would sit at the kitchen table sharing a sweet treat, and watching birds come to the feeder outside the kitchen window. Being with her was the perfect way to know a Mother's love. Rest east, Mom.

Cousin Frannie will always be remembered as a kind, considerate, and classy lady that always had a smile and a hot dish to pass for everyone. As the eldest daughter (I think) of the eldest daughter (Aunt Mella) of my paternal grandparents, Joseph and Louise Mannara who produced 11 children, 5 boys and 6 girls, I was always amused by those old black & white family photos showing Cousin Frannie as a toddler sitting next to a baby boy whom she called "Uncle Peter", my wonderful Dad, till the day he died. As a child, it took a few years for me to understand how my Dad had nieces that were older than him! I was fortunate enough to be invited to Cousin Frannie's 90th Birthday Party with my mother, "Aunt Ann", who is just a few months younger than her and fortunately still with us. A good time was had by all at this large gathering for family and friends, and I was able to capture many photos for her family to keep as a remembrance. Rest in peace Cousin Frannie, you will be missed. You set a great example for all of us.

Although I barely knew Aunt Fran before attending Nazareth College I got to know her a whole lot better in the four years I was there. As an 17 year old kid away from home for the first time it was so nice to have Aunt Fran, Uncle Paul and their kids and grandkids nearby as my second family! She was always so sweet and kind to me, inviting me over for meals and family get togethers, taking me to the airport and just being there if I needed something! Truly a lovely lady. My love and condolences to the family.

My “Aunt” Fran was a big part of my life growing up. She was a first cousin of my mom and aunt who both loved her like a sister. I spent many summers in Rochester with her and the extended family of cousins. We kept in touch during my adult life also. Always knew what was happening with our families. I loved her very much. I know she is among so many of her loved ones. My heart is with her family at this time. Love you all. Lucia
