My condolensces to Lori and the family. Lyle was not only the best cousin I could have, but an even better friend growing up. I have many memories of picking him up at the farm for school, playing ball in the barn, Little League in the summer and visiting him at college where I first met Lori. I remember the three of us going to a Led Zeppelin concert at the Garden and a music festival at Watkins Glen in the Summer of '73. I am sorry that we lost touch over the years, but for some reason I googled his name last week and found out that he had just passed away. Since then, I've smiled each day when I remember Cousin Ed's face and laugh. And I laugh when I recall him picking up his dog Boscoe on Finley Road putting him in the trunk because he was muddy, and then forgetting to let him out till he heard him the next day. I hope I keep remembering Lyle and the time we had together years ago because he always brought a smile to my face, and he still does. Best wishes to you, Lori and your family.

Condolences to Lori and the family..I was lucky enough to know Lyle since we were in junior high. Sports were a constant and we played soccer together along with pick up basketball and floor hockey. He had the perfect temperament(along with a look that was scary)for an official and he was an excellent one and a great guy. Rest easy Lyle and thanks for the memories

I send my condolences to the entire family of Lyle. He was a great person and left a lasting impression on many people. I have a vivid memory of Lyle working with Wanda, Bob, Joe and Doris during Girls' Basketball Sectionals, assigning officials to games and trying to make everyone happy. Volunteering his time with that wonderful smile on his face was only one of his contributions. Lyle was very professional on the basketball court and the soccer field, and a lot of fun when he was done with the games.
He will be missed.

Even though Lyle lived in Fairport for many years I never saw him there I saw him at the house on the Bay. I saw him at the farm playing basketball in the barn. I saw him playing baseball, umping softball, refing soccer and basketball. I once saw him throw an assistant coach out of a Sectional BB game for giving him too much grief.I saw him at the Amerks and the Red Wings. I also met him at a High School Hockey game. I mostly met him on the golf course both Ontario and Sodas Bay and once in a while even on the West side. Cousin Lyle, I miss you already..
