For my sweet mommy Pat, thank you for rescuing me and loving and caring for me for so many years. Although you have left this earth and I have a new nice person taking care of me, I will never forget you. I will always love you. Please wait for me in heaven. We will be together again some day.
With love from your little kitty girl, Shadow

Although I did not know Pat personally when she was alive, I would like to post this message of love to Pat and her family. I am the person who adopted Pat's little calico cat, Shadow, from Rochester Animal Services when Pat could no longer care for her. Pat was a special person to have rescued and cared for this little one for so many years. I am glad to know that Pat was such a cat lover, as I am also. The world would be a better place for animals and people if there were more people like Pat. May you rest in peace, Pat, knowing that your little Shadow will be loved and cherished for the rest of her life.

My aunt, I called her Aunt Patti, was truly an amazing person. She was very much in-tune with the spiritual world and believed in a Higher Power, whom she was calling on to help her to let go the last time I spoke with her, which was May 12, 2019. Her main concern at the time, in spite of her faltering health, was her beloved cat Shadow (I believe that was his name). She was coming to terms with the possibility of having to give him up due to her hospitalization. She loved those cats. Throughout my life, I didn’t get to spend much time with my aunt, but every time I saw or spoke with her, she radiated warmth and kindness. We had a genuine connection. I loved her and I know she loved me. I found her strength and wisdom inspiring. I will miss her dearly. May she rest in peace in the loving arms of her Higher Power.
