When learning of Dave's passing, a series of memories began surfacing. These memories were mostly based on stories that I had heard from my grandfather and my father (both William J. Babcock's) regarding their decades of business and personal friendships. It felt like a door had been softly closed on three generations of a well-respected family business.
Please accept our family's most sincere condolences.

Dave served us well for many years as our tax consultant. We always looked forward to tax season, just to catch up with Dave on not only the latest in tax revisions, but his hunting experiences during the past year. We will always remember Dave and thank him for passing us on tonEllen Shaffer to continue taking care of our taxes.

We are profoundly sorry for the loss of your beloved David and your overwhelming grief, losing both him and his father, Al, so close together. David spoke so eloquently at his dad's memorial service just 3 weeks ago. God bless the Miller and David's extended families in your sorrow.

Having a very hard time of referring to Dave in past tense because he was so full of life right up to the very end We will all miss that twinkle in his eye warning us that a "good one" was coming our way. He was not only fun but also a kind and generous man, always ready to help out friends and family. I couldn't have asked for a better brother-in-law.
We are there for you, Joanne, whatever you need.
Love,
Cheryl

Remembering David brings a smile to me. He has been a part of my life journey in those memorable college days, through the eyes of my husband and his friends .later he and Joanne were there greeting us as your family grew. They cared about our kids and family. I can't think of David without thinking of his beautiful wife Joanne. My heart is heavy thinking of Joanne's loss and yet I feel her strength and love for him will help her in these dark days and bring light to her life. I miss him and the idea of accepting we must treasure our moments with friends and blessed to have them , is our future.

Joanne and Family,
Although we are 2000 miles apart, I knew how much you loved each other by our emails and distant phone calls. Dave's life was so rich and full of enjoyment that not many people in their entire lifetime get the opportunity to experience as much as he did.
Joanne, you could not have been a better wife for Dave. Each of you shared so much together, from moments outdoors together to remodeling your kitchen. You both seemed so excited about it and that memory will be with you forever.
I've learned from you two that life is short and that you need to cherish every minute you have with the one's you love. Dave has moved on to a new adventure that somehow seems fit because of the life he lived.
I love you Joanne and want to express my sincerest condolences and comment on your extreme endurance and patience throughout this experience.
May God Bless you and your family.
Love,
Cousin Dave
