Obituary of Stephen Foti

Stephen Foti

On February 26th the world’s greatest father, grandfather, best husband on the planet, champion of friends, and, a selfless man whom ventured to make everyone who enter the room feel good about themselves, took his next step in the journey.

Survived by his wife Gerri “GiGi” Foti; his two sons and their wives, Stephen & Tamara Foti, Paul & Stephanie Foti; and, daughter and son in law Susan & John DiMarco II.  Steve was blessed to have eight wonderful grandchildren:  Alexander, John III, Jason, Isabella, Brad, Michael, Nina and David.  His loving siblings Priscilla & Jack Mooney, Karen & John Kikta and Brian & Cindy Foti also survive Steve.

Steve was an entrepreneur and extremely hard-working businessman that carried on the third generation of Lifetime Cookware.  He was an avid boater; he obtained his twin-engine instrument aviation license; and, loved to box at the gym with his fellow friends who were also fighting a battle against Parkinson's. Steve was a graduate of McQuaid Jesuit then continued in the Jesuit tradition at Wheeling College.  Several dozens of Steve’s closest friends and family also followed in the Jesuit tradition, including his two sons.

We know Steve for inspiring us to help realize that there is always a bright side to adversity and God provides light everywhere, we just have to look.  No matter how ominous, no matter how overwhelming it might seem, success was not only within reach…  it was at your doorstep.

To honor Steve’s legacy the family arranged for a service at Church of the Resurrection (63 Mason Rd, Fairport, NY 14450) at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 16th.  It is very important for all friends and family to know that Steve wanted us all to celebrate life, so immediately following the service the Foti Family invites ALL of you to come to Evento East for food, drinks and sharing of precious memories.
