Obituary of Nelida Vega

Nelida Vega passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at the age of 59.  

Survived by her partner of 36 years, Keith Douse, sons (Angel and Ramon) and Daughters (Jasmin and Nelida), and Sister (Aida, Carmen, Nancy, and Rosa), She leaves behind all 10 Grandchildren. She is loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends from far away. 

Nelida was a beckon of light, always smiling, laughing, and enjoying the company of loved ones, she was a fighter though she did most things by herself she sought strength from her friends and family. Just her smile alone could light the darkest of rooms. Even in the deepest and darkest moments, she kept a positive attitude. Nelida was a loving sister, an encouraging mother, and most of all, and proud and supportive grandmother.  

Anyone who knew of Nelida can say she was always hardworking and driven to get anything done, her famous quote to anyone was, “When there’s a will, There’s a way”. Although she has moved on, one thing is for sure she will never be forgotten. 

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 4 – 7 pm at Falvo Funeral Home, 1395 North Goodman St Rochester, NY 14609.
