Obituary of Marian Rose Murray

Marian R. Murray (Lattuca) (DiPrimo)

ROCHESTER- September 29, 2023. Pre-deceased by her husbands, Tony Lattuca, Frank DiPrimo, Ron Murray; son, Anthony Lattuca. Survived by her daughter, JoAnn Lattuca; son, Frank (Tracey) DiPrimo; daughter-in-law, Linda Lattuca; grandchildren, Stephanie (Jesse) Ruffalo, Amanda (Walt) Van Leuven, Joseph DiPrimo (Cassidy Brown), David DiPrimo (Antoinette Cruz); great grandchildren, Brady and Lindsay Ruffalo, and Aubrey and Vaughn Van Leuven; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Marian grew up on Norton St in the City of Rochester, in the parish of the Church of the Annunciation.   She lived in the family home most of her life.  She attended #39 school and Benjamin Franklin HS.

Marian loved her family. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, travel, and entertaining, especially outdoors in the summer inviting extended family and friends to holiday parties and celebrations.  She baked dozens of Italian Christmas cookies each year.  She was especially good at making the traditional Sunday dinner of Spaghetti and meatballs.  Her recipe for meatballs is still used by daughters-in-laws and grandchildren.  She also loved to dance and have a good time at social functions.  When granddaughters came along, she sewed their dolls special outfits.

Marian and her second husband Frank eventually downsized and moved to Webster, where they continued to enjoy traveling.  Awhile after his passing she remarried and moved to Florida, which was her permanent residence for several years, until health concerns brought her back to Rochester. She lived at Brentland Woods Assisted Living for over 5 years, and within the last 9 months lived at St. Ann’s Nursing Home, where after a very short illness, died peacefully.

Please meet the family on Friday, October 6 at St. Ann’s Chapel (1500 Portland Ave. Rochester, NY 14621) for the celebration of her Funeral Mass at 10AM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the St. Ann’s Foundation (1500 Portland Ave. Rochester, NY 14621.)
