Zona. Patricia Lillian
Mrs. Patricia Zona, age 91 of Marietta Ga. And Rochester NY passed away Thursday, May 4,
2017. There will be a funeral Mass at St. Ambrose Church at 10:00 AM on Saturday June 17,
2017. The family will receive friends one half hour before the service at the church. A private
interment will follow.
She is predeceased in death by her husband of 65 years Richard Andrew Zona Sr. and daughter-
in-law Barbara Jean Zona.
She is survived by two children: Richard Andrew Zona Jr (Mary Catherine Bosner) and Barbara
Bianchi (Robert Rivera). 4 grandchildren: Regina Zona (Pat Smith) of Yonkers NY, Patrick Bianchi
(Jennifer) of NYC, Jeffrey Bianchi of Buford GA and Allyson Bianchi(Collin Michael) of Marietta
Ga. and beloved pet Jorgie.
A native of Rochester NY Mrs. Zona had recently moved to Marietta Ga. She retired as a
compensation claims manager for the Hartford Insurance company after 25 years of
employment. She also served as the President of the Aquinas Band Boosters Club from 1964-
1966 being one of the founding members. In this role she was instrumental in getting the
Aquinas Band to participate in the Macy's Thanksgiving parade in 1964. She was a member of
the Peace of Christ Parrish at St. Ambrose Church and was an avid gardener at the home where
she lived for 65 years.
