Obituary of Lena H. Adams

Adams, Lena H. Rochester: Passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 15 at the age of 102. Beloved daughter of the late Philip and Santa (Mancuso) Adams, Lee was predeceased by her brothers and sister, John (Loretta), Philomena (Joseph Speziale), Stephen (Doris Adams Turrie), Amedeo (Laura), Anthony , Louis, and Michael, and by her nieces Marilyn Adams and Judith Speziale, and nephews Gerard Adams, Stephen Turrie, and Philip Adams. Lee is lovingly remembered by her sisters-in-law Theresa Adams and Carmel Adams, niece Patricia Justicia-Linde (Jose), nephew Paul Adams (Marjorie Nicholas), grandniece Julie Adams, her dear friends Mary Ann Wahl, Carolyn Conrow, Jane McAdam, and Marilyn Plass, and many other nieces and nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Lee was a 1931 graduate of East High School. She spent her working career with the Hickok Manufacturing Company, and later the Farrell Corporation. Along with spending time with her family and friends, Lee loved to travel, and was active in her parish of St. James. She was a long-term benefactor to the Sisters of Mercy. Lee's family would like to sincerely thank the many volunteers from St. James, neighbors, and others who helped Lee sustain her independence and quality of life for many years. Visiting hours Friday from 4-8 PM at Falvo Funeral Home; 1395 N. Goodman St., Rochester. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass Saturday, 10 AM at St. James Church Brett Rd, Rochester, NY 14609. Donations in Lee’s memory may be made to Sisters of Mercy of Rochester, 1437 Blossom Rd, Rochester, NY 14610. Interment Holy Sepulchre.
