Battaglia, Sr.James A. Irondequoit: On June 23, 2014 at age 83. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 56 years, Doris (Faso) Battaglia, his parents, James and Grace Battaglia, sister, Ann Monroe, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James and Sara "Toots" Barone, Anthony Gombatto, Frank, Jean and Audrey Faso, Barb Battaglia. Survived by his children, James, Jr. ((Barbara) Battaglia, Angela "Andi" Battaglia; "adopted" daughter, Sue Daly; "adopted" son, Frank Creek; grandchildren, James Battaglia and fiancee, Mareesa Forbes, Joseph and Gabrielle Battaglia; "adopted" grandson, Sam Creek; brothers and sisters-in-law, Anthony (Matilda) Battaglia, Richard Battaglia (Ginger Engert); brother-in-law, James Monroe; sister-in-law, Shirley Gombatto; also many nieces, nephews and god-children. Jim was a US Marine and Combat Veteran of the Korean War and a participant in the first night landing at Inchon. Calling hours THURSDAY 4-8 at the Falvo Funeral Home, 1395 N. Goodman St. On FRIDAY please meet the family at 9:30AM in Peace of Christ at St. Ambrose Church (Culver Rd. at Empire Blvd.) for the Celebration of his Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society in Jim's memory (1754 Norton St., 14609). Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
