Obituary of Miguel "Tito" Angel Vargas

Miguel “Tito” was born in Cidra, Puerto Rico to Angel Luis Vargas and the late Teodosia Colon on May 5, 1956.  He transitioned from this life on October 27, 2024, at age 68 after a short illness.  He is predeceased in death by his mother, Teodosia Colon and brothers, Angel and Ismael Vargas.  He is survived by his father, Angel Vargas of Cidra, Puerto Rico, wife, Malai of Hilton, NY, son, Miguel “Mikey” Vargas Jr. of Rochester, NY, daughter, Mika Vargas of Hilton, NY, sisters, Maria Elena Vargas of Penfield, NY, Maria Virginia (Wilfredo) Lopez of Valrico, FL, brother, Carlos Vargas of Rochester, NY, grandsons, Mikel Vargas of Rochester, NY and Milek Vargas of Rochester, NY, nieces and nephews, Shawntie (Reggie) Nowlin, Michelle Vargas, Michael Vargas, Taren (Terry) Greenidge-George, Angela Burgos, Maggie Burgos, David Burgos, Michelle Yard, Morgan Schmidt, Carlos Vargas Jr. and Angel Vargas as well as a host of extended family and special friends.   

Tito’s professional experience crossed heating and cooling installation, carpet installation, customer service engineering at Xerox Corporation and work as an independent contractor.  Those who knew Tito will attest that he was a humble and respectful man, with a generous spirt, quick wit and welcoming smile. His laughter will always be with us.

He demonstrated that hard, honest work will always provide you with a great reward. We will miss him terribly but are thankful that he was our husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend. We know he rests now in the kingdom of God because working hard has its reward. 

Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 4 from 2:30-4:30pm with a service at 4:30pm BOTH at Falvo Funeral Home (1295 Fairport Nine Mile Pt. Rd. Webster, NY 14580.) Interment private.
