Rest easy John. I had the privilege of becoming John’s friend through Xbox. We played until the sun came up and there was never a dull moment. He was so easy to talk to and he was always there. As we got older and took on adult responsibilities we drifted but still kept in contact sending each other funny posts on the internet. Until we meet again John.

I am so deeply saddened by this news. I had the pleasure of being friends with John during grade school. John was a gentle giant and he always had my back during recess football. It was great always having him back me up. Always will remember his laugh and grin. He was the best friend to everyone around him. Always remember him looking out for everyone around him.

I have first met john in 4th-5th grade, and we were close friends in the same class together back in franklin and we stayed friends all through Highschool and beyond then. We had our ups and down but we never stopped being friends but one day me and friends hadnt heard from him since the 5th of September and we wished you well but this… this is something none of us ever wanted or expected to see or hear about, We Love you John, I hope you always knew that, I and all of our friends will always remember those nights of fun playing games together on xbox or hanging out in town watching movies with one another. Rest in peace buddy you will be missed dearly beyond what words can say. -Miguel Castillo

although I did not know John personally or met him in person, i will forever hold him in my heart as not only a friend but a brother, John and I met in 2018 on the xbox 360 playing Call of duty with our friend group as well as other games and we have all played together for a long time, John was always the guy to help out if asked and was always there for his friends if he ever needed it. We all would get up way before school started and would play the game for about an hour before we had to leave and John was always there for it. John not only is my friend but is my brother to heart. Man I will miss you bro, I miss the childhood memories we made on xbox. I never was good at making friends in person where I lived but John has always been that friend I knew I would have for the rest of my life. John, thank you for making me a better person everyday, thank you for reaching out to me even when you didn’t have to, thank you for being an amazing friend and amazing brother to me. I love you man and we will never ever forget you. Your name will live on. Much love - Ayden Grayum
