Ted was greatly loved and will be sorely missed. His contributions to the promotion and preservation of Irish music and culture are legendary and profoundly appreciated. They include his radio programs, his collections of tapes, CDs, records, books and sheet music, his archiving, his participation in numerous Irish groups and events, his performances on the button accordion as well as his many honors and recognitions. Thank you Ted McGraw, for years of friendship and devotion to Irish music in Rochester and beyond! Thanks also for my button accordion lessons, which I’m sure qualifies you for sainthood, but you were always so patient and gentle. To say you will be missed is an understatement. A true Irishman and a gentleman who could answer just about any questions on Irish music! The sound of his accordion will be sorely missed here on Earth, but I'm sure the angels will appreciate it. Heartfelt condolences to family and friends.
