Obituary of Brian C. Stapleton
It is impossible to imagine a world without the sound of Brian’s infectious laugh, the embrace of his big teddy bear hug, the warmth and comfort of his presence.
Brian Christopher Stapleton, born August 13, 1985, breathed his last breath peacefully and surrounded by his family on September 23, 2024.
Brian had many achievements, but by far his proudest and happiest part of life was becoming a father to his little girl, Lucy. These past 3 years since her birth he has spent doing everything in his being to see her happy and loved. And boy is she happy and loved. He was her very best friend and she, his.
Brian found the love of his life in Audrey; they were two peas in a pod and the love that they shared will live on forever through their memories and their precious daughter, Lucy.
He is survived by his daughter, Lucy, his loving wife, Audrey, his mom Beth Stapleton, dad John Stapleton, step-mom Joanna Stapleton, mother and father in law Susan and Patrick Brayer, his loving siblings, Erica (Greg) Colon, Kevin (Priscilla) Stapleton and Kelly (Nelson) Stapleton, sisters-in-law Lily (Greg) Schworm and Addie (Adam) Brayer, his nieces Nina, Flora and Millie, his nephews Boone, Ryan, Jeremy & Reggie, countless cousins, aunts and uncles.
Brian loved his family more than anything in the world. He was a proud father, son, husband, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to so many.
He is an avid sports fan and die-hard lover of the Bills, Yankees and Knicks. He loved the outdoors, the fall, the changing seasons, and surprisingly enough for someone of his stature, he loved doing back flips any chance he got! And boy was he sure everyone watching knew he could land them.
Brian graduated from Buffalo State College in 2007, and it was no surprise to anyone that he found himself in a successful career in sales – one that came so naturally to him because of his warm way of connecting with people. No matter what capacity Brian worked in, he rose to the top and earned so many accolades for his ability to earn people’s trust and love.
Brian had SO many friends. These past two weeks, we were all reminded of just how many people Brian has touched over his short 39 years of life. Those who were only acquainted have shared memories of feeling loved and welcomed by Brian’s beautiful personality. Those who were lucky enough to form friendships with him have the fullest, brightest, most fun-loving memories with him that they will cherish forever. He made everyone feel like they had a best friend in him.
He had a way of making people feel comfortable, welcomed and loved. He was always quick-witted and by far the funniest person in any room. His contagious, full of life belly laugh will remain in our memories forever.
