Obituary of Ralph F. Mudge
Ralph F. Mudge
As a husband, he was my guiding light, loyal, loving, and funny and enriched my life over a 33-year span.
As a Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Co-Worker, and Friend he was genuine, kind and entertained us all with humor.
As a person, "he was one of kind!"
As a Professional Photographer, the photography gene was in his "DNA."
High School Class Photographer **** RIT Photo Major '71, ***** 28-Year Career @ WHEC-10 TV videographer.
Since 1984, Ralph skippered 4 sailboats, all named White bird, of course! In 1991, Joanne came aboard to share life and sailing adventures in a" Jimmy Buffet” style." Their cruising grounds included Lake Ontario, BVI, US Virgin Islands and Bahamas.
Ralph was a dedicated and trusted 30 + year Genesee Yacht Club member & past GYC Commodore.
He seldom missed the blessed Tuesday- Race Night with the GUYS TO "Yuk IT UP"
The Essence of Ralph is captured by the words of Maya Angelou...
"I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart,
I usually make the right decision.
I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one.
I've learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone.
People love a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.
I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget
What you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."
Ralph's Celebration of Life will be held on October 8th, Tuesday at Genesee Yacht Club * from 4:00-7:00ish PM; Memorial Service at 5:00PM.
