Obituary of Ned J. Doty

Ned Doty, 63, Born on September. 29,1960 in California, passed away on September. 3, 2024 in Rochester, New York.

Calling hours will be at Joy Community Church 890 North Goodman Street Rochester, NY on Thursday September 12th 4:00-6:00pm with a Celebration of Life Service 6:00-7:30pm. Parking and the entrance are at the rear of the church building. (Avoidance of North Goodman Street between Clifford and Bay Street is advised due to construction). The Celebration of Life event will be broadcast live and available for replay on Facebook.

Ned is survived by his beautiful wife, Regina; four step-children (Luisa, Christina, Ramona, and Veronica.); eight grandchildren (Jaiquanah, Jaszmin, Jamayne, Jeslynn, Marsia, Aaron, Josiah, and Uriah); two great-grandchildren (Amari and Zhavia); his mother, Barbara, father, Terry, and his twin-brother Fred; mother-in-law, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.

Ned was a Navy Veteran and a skilled machinist, and worked for Machine Craft. He was talented at building computers, was an amazing writer, and he loved riding his motorcycle. Ned loved his family, his dog Cassey, and his country, but most of all he loved God! He loved studying the Bible and listening to Dr. David Jeremiah and John McArthur on-line.

Ned had the heart and the attitude for stewardship, which showed through in many ways. Ned was indeed a kind and gentle soul. He loved serving and helping others without anyone else knowing. He was tremendous blessing to so many lives, often laying down his life for others who were suffering. Ned had a very close relationship with Jermaine Chester and Brandon Wright, as well as many other people that he held near and dear to his heart, he will surely be missed by many friends and family.
