Obituary of Roberto Rodriguez Sr.

Roberto "Meladoy" Rodriguez Sr., age 80, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024. He was born on June 8, 1944, in Puerto Rico, to the late Eva De Colon Rivera and Jose Rodriguez.

Roberto is survived by his beloved wife, Luz (Nadia) Rodriguez, and his children: Roberto Rodriguez Jr. (Elizabeth Rodriguez), Jose Rodriguez, Melvin Rodriguez (Angel Gauger),  Angel Rodriguez (Amanda Trim), and Annmarie Presha.

He was also cherished by his siblings from Massachusetts, including Eustaquio (Junior), Pablo, Inocencia (Chen), Eladia (Yayi), and Maria (Gare).

Roberto was a proud grandfather to his 16 grandchildren: Liza Hamilton, Yajaira Rodriguez Stoudemire, Tiffany Bledsoe, Lyanna Rodriguez, Gia Rodriguez, Paige Papke, Mya Rodriguez, Oliviyah Rodriguez, Jose Miguel Torres, Hiram Torres, Antonio (AJ) Rodriguez, Analisa Rodriguez, Nadiyah Rodriguez, Gisele Rodriguez, Jaylianna Ayala, and Elyza Rodriguez.

In addition to his grandchildren, Roberto was blessed with great-grandchildren: Joseph Troutman, Jorge Santiago Jr., Michael Hamilton Jr., Jesiah Troutman, Amaraliz Vazquez, and Samaiya Bledsoe.

He will be deeply missed by a large and loving extended family of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.

Roberto's life was marked by the love and devotion he had for his family, and his memory will forever be cherished by all who knew him.

Calling hours will be held at Falvo Funeral Home 1395 N. Goodman St., Rochester, NY 14609, on Friday, 8/16/24, from 4pm-7pm. A service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, 8/17/24, at 11am. Burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery.
