Obituary of John Elbert Baker
PENFIELD: Passed away peacefully on July 21, 2024, at age 79. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jackie; Children, Tina Honeck and John Baker; Grandchildren, John Patrick Baker, Justin and Julia Honeck; Siblings, Joyce Widera, Mary June Baker and Jeffery Baker; Also, many friends and relatives.
In addition to being a devoted husband, father, papa, and brother, John was a lifelong musician whose love for music began at a young age. He found solace and joy in playing guitar and bass, a passion that shaped many fond memories throughout his life.
Beyond his musical pursuits, John spent 45 years of his professional life as an engineer with Xerox.
John was a loving man of few words, always with the right thing to say. He was known for his calm, cool, and collected nature. His quick wit and sharp sense of humor never failed to bring smiles to those around him.
You knew family meant everything to John because he made it a point to say I love you every time you got off the phone. His 59-year marriage to his beloved wife, Jackie, was a testament to their deep bond and enduring love. His family was his greatest source of joy and strength, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
John's memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were touched by his kindness and humor.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 26, from 4pm – 7pm at Falvo Funeral Home 1295 Fpt. Nine Mile Pt. Rd. Webster, N.Y. The Interment will be held privately.
