Friends and family all knew that Buzz was a longtime sportsman. He started young and excelled at basketball at his alma mater, East High School in Rochester. He was also a terrific baseball player and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame for the city of Rochester. Later he worked for the city as a Recreational Coordinator and helped kids find their love and passion for sports just as he did years before.
A longtime NY Yankees fan, Buzz never missed a game and was lucky enough to attend a few in person at Yankee Stadium in NYC.
He also enjoyed a good game of golf and played in Rochester when he could but especially at his winter home in Palm Beach County, Florida.
Please join the family for his funeral service on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 12pm at Creation Chapel in White Haven Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Perry’s name.
