Obituary of Ronald C. Maggio

Passed July 3, 2024, at age of 82.  Leaves behind his loving wife of 54 years, JoAnn (Ippolito) Maggio, his loving son, Ronald C. Maggio, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl Shen and his handsome grandson, Ronald C. Maggio III, sister-in-law Marlene Maggio, brother-in-law Joe (Susan) Ippolito, many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents, Cecelia (Spall) & Frank Maggio, brother Donald, sister and brother-in-law Barbara (Chuck) Venishel.

Ron was an amazing man, loving son, brother, friend, husband, father and grandfather.  He was a well-known life insurance agent for over 50 years in the Rochester community who just wanted to help people.  A friend/client recently said, “He was a guardian angel God put into my life at perfect moments.”  He truly loved people.

He wanted to make people smile.  His colorful personality matched his colorful wardrobe.  He loved life and lived it to the fullest, always willing to try something different and visit other countries (Japan, Italy, Brazil, Taiwan).  Always had a positive attitude, talked to everyone and boy could he talk.  He was unforgettable.

He enjoyed the art of bonsai trees and was passionate about Japanese viewing stones (suiseki) and telling people all about them.   He was an avid sports fan, especially for the Buffalo Bills (54 years as a Season Ticket Holder) and was there for all four of their Super Bowl appearances.

Friends may call Wednesday, July 10, from 4-7PM at Falvo Funeral Home (1295 Fairport Nine Mile Pt. Rd., Webster, NY 14580.)  Funeral Mass celebration Thursday, July 11, 11:00AM at Church of the Holy Spirit, 1355 Hatch Road, Webster, NY.  Interment follows at White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Rd., Pittsford, NY.
