I worked for Lisa as her Care Coordinator for 8 years. She never complained and loved going to work each day. She helped her parents so much and looked out for her friends at her program. Lisa and her family welcomed me into their life and especially the last 6 months of her life. So many visitors while in the hospital made her day. She received so many gifts, cards and made sure she could see each one before leaving the visit.
Lisa knew what she was facing and she did so with a strong mind and made sure HER schedule was followed by nursing staff. Of course she was catered to and became the light many went to first when coming on shift. Everyone just LOVED her.
I will miss her and our shared love of Bewitched!
My heart is broken and still trying to work through it all.
I know she is no longer suffering, and has gained her wings without question. I will genuinely miss her. I know she is watching over her parents now as they need her to.
A parent should never have to bury their child, never.
