Obituary of Laurie Rose Migliore

Laurie R. Migliore, 61, born on December 14th, 1962, in Irondequoit, NY, passed away peacefully on June 10th, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.

Although Laurie did not have children of her own, she embraced her nieces and nephews as her own. Known for her caring nature, Laurie dedicated her life to looking after those around her. Her passion for cars and learning new skills led her to spend many moments in her garage, indulging in her love for automobiles. Laurie found joy in her work at Harris and as a chef, among various other hobbies she excelled in. Above all, she cherished time spent with family and was a natural caregiver. Her kind heart left a lasting impact on countless lives. Known for her strength, Laurie's infectious smile, complete with a little wrinkle in her nose, had a heartwarming effect on everyone she encountered.

Laurie's love story with her adoring wife, Jeane Kennedy, was a testament to the power of love and commitment.  Their love is even more remarkable because they got married before gay marriage was legal. Their commitment to each other and their love transcended any obstacles they faced. Their marriage was a testament to their deep bond and the strength of their relationship. It's truly inspiring to see love conquer all, regardless of the challenges they had to overcome. Their story is a beautiful reminder of the power of love and the importance of fighting for equality and acceptance.

Laurie will be deeply missed by many and forever loved by all. She is predeceased by her mother, Marie, father, Carl Migliore, and her sister, Maryanne Milke. Laurie is survived by her devoted wife, Jeane Kennedy, her loving sister, Karla Maldonado, and all of Karla's children - Nick (Rochelle), Joe, Liana, and Alicia (Jenae). She also leaves behind her best friend of over 50 years, Lori Marmo, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Please join the family on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 12 Noon, at Falvo Funeral Home, 1395 N. Goodman St. Rochester, NY 14609 for Laurie's Funeral Service. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
