Marian (Van Hall) Vandenberg

Angels escorted Marian to the afterlife on June 7, 2024, at age 93. Predeceased by her husband, Peter; Parents, Thomas (original Dutch name Teunis) and Andriesena Van Hall; Brothers, William (Margaret, also deceased) and Jacob Van Hall; Brother-in-Law, James Vandenberg; Sister-in-Law, Linda Vandenberg. Survived by her sister, Jean Goodwin; Brother-in-Law, Richard Vandenberg; Sisters-in-law, Hendrika Van Hall, Marilyn Vandenberg and Elizabeth (Jack) Emery; Nieces and nephews, Julet (Gary) Dinan, Bonnie (Bill) Pealer, Roy (Pam) Goodwin, Matthew Dinan, Brian (Jim Chua) Dinan, Ethan (Kim) Dinan, Dustin (Meg) Jones, Jamie Jones, Austin (Carlee Viola) Goodwin, Amber (Joe) Wiggins, Emma Dinan, Benjamin Dinan, Aiden Wiggins, Aria Wiggins, Stephen (Patti) Van Hall, Jeffrey Van Hall, Linda Van Hall, Donald Van Hall, Sandra (Charles) Creamer, several great nieces and nephews, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews on the Vandenberg side of the family. 


Marian was an ace bowler and enjoyed traveling, garage sale hunting, spending time with her nieces and nephews and hunting and fishing with her husband Peter. She loved spending time at her cottage on Waneta Lake. She graduated from Charlotte High School and attended Calvin College. She modeled for Whelpley and Paul. She worked in the accounting department at Gleason Works.  Her nickname of “Kidda” came from the character Kitty in Gunsmoke.  Kitty was tall, with a red tint to her hair, feisty, in charge, mentally tough and fiercely protective.  Marian or “Kidda,” was tall, often put a red tint in her hair and had shared those character traits with the character of Kitty.  


Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 12-4 PM at Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Pt. Rd. Webster, N.Y. 14580.  After the calling hours, a celebration of her life will be held at the Outlet Rod and Gun Club, 3202 Atlantic Avenue Penfield, NY 14526 (2 ½ miles away from the funeral home).
