The Veterans Outreach Center extends our deepest sympathy in Alan's passing. We acknowledge and are truly grateful for his service to our country. We appreciate his family naming our Center as the recipient of donations in his memory.

I knew Alan from the orchid world. I orginally met Alan when he was a vender at our local show in Niagara, Ontario, Canada. Over the years we met at all the nearby shows to exchange stories and show off our plants. One of the best trips I ever took was with Alan to California to visit orchid nurseries. He took me to all the top growers where I would never have even been let in the door if not for Alan's reputation as one of the top growers in the States. I was lucky enough to visit him just before COVID shut things down. I am glad for the time I was able to spend with him and offer thanks for his guidance in our shared hobby.
