Obituary of Marjorie Antoinette Vialva

Marjorie Vialva, born on May 27, 1957, in Kingston, Jamaica, passed away unexpectedly on May 11, 2024, with her loving daughter at her side. She was the cherished daughter of Ivy Hoohing and Neville Hoochoy.

Marjorie grew up in Kingston, Jamaica, where she attended The Nightingale Prep School and completed her education at Vauxhall Secondary. She entered the working world, where her giving and engaging personality served her well, first in retail and then as a kindergarten teacher at Vaz Prep School. From there, she left to join her mom in the USA.

Marjorie was a devoted wife of 39 years to Felix Vialva, with whom she shared many beautiful years. Her legacy of love and kindness continues through her children: Anastasia Hoochoy, Simeon Vialva, and Felix Vialva II. Marjorie was a proud and doting grandmother to Savannah Chadwick and Mia Boryck, who brought immense joy to her life.

A woman of great strength and grace, Marjorie touched the lives of many with her warm heart and unwavering spirit. Her dedication to her family and community will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her. 

The funeral service to honor and celebrate Marjorie's life will be held on May 30, 2024 at St. Rita’s Catholic Church at 10:30am with reception to follow.

Marjorie will be deeply missed but forever remembered by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Rest in peace, Marjorie Vialva. Your memory will live on in our hearts forever.
