Gary was like a second father to me. Actually I never called him Gary, but Mr. DiFlorio. He taught me many life lessons and was always happy to see me. I can still hear is infectious laugh echo in my head. I wish I could have one more day with him! He will always hold a special place in my heart ❤️ Ci vediamo in paradiso. J.P.

I am moved by the fact that I knew Gary for nearly 70 years since he arrived from ltaly with his dad and lived with us on East Hickory street until they moved to Chestnut Street. Gary's mom and sister joined them soon after. So many memories.... so much laughter and tears through the years... To cousins Angela, Danny and Patrick: Your song with Gary has ended, but the melody will forever linger on.

I remember when Gary first came to the States. Such a young man and only 13 years old. I remember Gary as a nice man, friendly, happy, kind to everyone, and grateful for his family, friends, career, and life. I am sorry for his loss.

And working at a Barber Shop in Penfield. Always talking sports. In all these years I have enjoyed his company as we would talk about any thing from school mates to golf and beyond.Gary was a classmate of my sister Mary K

I had the good fortune of knowing Gary only the last 20+ years through golfing at Eagle Vale. Gary was known to the Rochester golfing community as great talent with many titles and accomplishments. He was always a true gentleman, a fierce competitor, and a warm and sincere friend. I will miss him on the fairways of Fairport. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
My sincere condolences to his family.

Sending love and peace to you, Angela, Danny, Patrick and grandchildren.
We can never forget Gary.
I remember when he came to live with us for a short time at (Aunt Lucy and Uncle Sam's house) when he arrived from Italy. Soon, my dad put him to work at the Barbershop.
There was never a dull or boring moment with Gary!
He loved it when I couldn't pronounce his name when I was little and it sounded like 'King'! He loved that.
That is a fond and fun memory of Gary. I wish him well into his next journey.
Sending love and Spiritual peace to the family.
Love,
Marie DiFlorio

I first met Gary at Mario’s on Monroe Ave. I followed him to Sam’s Barber Shop, then to the Techniplex Plaza, and finally to the shop in Penfield. He gave both of my sons and my grandson their first haircuts. We always had good laughs and Gary had great stories to tell. My sincere condolences to his entire family. I will miss him. Sincerely, Vincent Rosella.

Gary may be my first cousin's father-in-law, but we felt like close family. He always managed a smile for me when I'd come home for visits and even belied out a laugh or two (either at me or with me). That being said, he cared enough to reprimand me when deserved and that only made me feel even more so like family. I can't even imagine that he is gone from here. His presence will certainly be missed on my visits home.

To the DiFlorio family, I go back to when Sam DiFlorio was cutting my hair and then Gary took over. I always looked forward to my haircuts and alway had pleasant conversations with Gary. It didn't hurt that we had golf in common. I was always amazed at his golf skills. I moved to California in 1979 and my wife and I moved back to East Rochester a few years ago. It's been on my list to visit Gary but so many family health issues always seem to interfere. Now my heart hurts because I didn't get to see him and catch up. To the DiFlorio family, please accept our deepest condolences and know that we will continue to think about and pray for Gary and his family. RIP my dear friend. Seb & Diane Nardecchia
