Obituary of Joseph Caccamise

Joseph Caccamise

WEBSTER - May 6, 2024. Predeceased by his parents, Anthony, and Jeanette. Survived by his wife Elizabeth; children Sara (Ryan) Murray, Joshua, Jenna (Andrew) O’Connell, Jack; Sisters Marlene, Eileen, Kathy (Tim) Meyer; Brother Daniel (Geanine) Caccamise; Mother-in-law Claire Boutillier, Brothers-in-law Rob, David (Ellen) Boutillier; Sisters-in-law Sue (Mike) Vinton, Cathe (Don) Muzytchuk, Barb Boutillier and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Joe proudly worked for the United States Postal Service for 36 years, where he met his wife, Beth. He became known fondly as the ‘Mayor of Brighton station’ always enjoying his thoughtful interactions with customers that also became friends.

Joe was a dedicated family man - his wife and children were his world. Spending time with his siblings and their children was a bright spot in his life. His happiest times were spent with his family whether it was on a sunny beach, at a large family gathering or enjoying a sporting event.

Anyone who met Joe knew he was a passionate Buffalo Bills fan and a season ticket holder with his sons. They never missed a home game and often traveled to away games to support the Bills and created memories that will last forever. He was also fortunate to have accomplished his dream of attending a baseball game at all 30 MLB stadiums as a family. In his younger days, Joe was an avid bowler, having achieved a perfect 300 game. (He would also tell you he bowled a heartbreaking 299 game!)

Joe also enjoyed cooking, grilling, and using his smoker - always trying new recipes for his family to request again and again (like his mac & cheese!)

We would like to thank the URMC oncology team of Dr. Deepak Sahasrabudhe, Dr. Haoming Qiu and their team including Lynn, Kim & Savannah for many years of compassionate care.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 12 from 1-4pm, his Memorial Service will be held on Monday at 11am, BOTH at Falvo Funeral Home (1295 Fairport Nine Mile Pt. Rd. Webster, NY 14580.)

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Patricia Allen Fund benefiting the John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.
