Teresa & Family, I used to call on DJ at the travel agency. He was a great guy & I always enjoyed meeting with him. He was a true entrepreneur & I looked forward to hearing his views on things because he had a natural understanding of business climate. May his memory be eternal.

Teresa and family,
DJ and I had a wonderful business relationship that is still ongoing. Town & Country travel was Nalge’s prime business partner for all the years that I was in Rochester. We shared family memories of our Cape Cod vacations and visited the same Chatham tourist spots. We both loved golf and DJ stuck up a relationship with local NY PGA professJoey Sindilar. He could schmoozzzzz with the best of them but always remembered his close nit family. Teresa and his loving girls were the joy of his life. I am saddened that we were not closer in our later years where we could have reminisce of how we both started our careers and where it took us.
DJ was everything that emboldened a loving husband and father. His wit and love for his family will live forever.
I loving memory,
David(DDP) & Karen

The Bowering family is very sad to hear of Don’s passing. When Don took bought the travel business from my mother way back in 96 he and Teresa could not have been nicer about things. He was a real gentleman.

We were so sad to hear of DJ’s passing. I first met him when we worked together at Grinnell Travel.
He was a bright star, intelligent and empathic. So happy he did well when he acquired his own agency.
Condolences to Teresa and his children. May his memory be a blessing to you all.

I last saw DJ about 4 years ago at a friend’s backyard party. We originally met at Locust Hill about 25 years ago, played some golf and became friends, but life has a way of taking all of us in different directions and we did not see much of each other after leaving the club, but whenever I did, he was all about what was going on in our lives.
Fast forward to when I ran into him most recently, I had “retired” but was bored and was looking for something to ease into retirement. Not the most pressing of crises, while DJ was dealing with his most pressing health situation. And yet, his concern was for me. As Billy Myers mentioned above, his contact list was ridiculously long and he was sure there was someone in it who could help me. Always thinking of someone else ahead of himself.
The world is diminished today without DJ in it.

To know DJ was to know an honorable, great man. I consider myself so fortunate to have called him my friend. Always called me “Billy Ray”….Billy Ray sure is going to miss him!
I lost my job many years ago and decided, with his urging, to start my own flooring company. He was my first client (of course) and gave me all his contacts (ridiculous amount of people). I will always be indebted to DJ and will love him forever.
