Obituary of Giuseppa Coraggioso

Giuseppa Coraggioso, 90, died February 23, 2024, in Irondequoit, NY. 

She was born in Caltagirone, Sicily to Giovanni and Brigida Martello (Amoroso) on September 23rd, 1933. She was the oldest of two siblings, Salvatore (Maria) Martello and Maria Rondinella. She married Salvatore Coraggioso on July 28th, 1955. They were blessed with 65 years of marriage. She worked as a seamstress at Hickey Freeman.

 Survived by children, Vincenza Sanfillippo, Filippo (Janine) Coraggioso, and Giovanni (Dorothy) Coraggioso; grandchildren, Tanya, Giovanni, and Marcello Sanfillippo, Giovanni and Gabriella Coraggioso, Marissa and Julianna Coraggioso; great-grandchildren, Dominic and Mikaela Webber, Julian Colon, Adriano and Leanna Sanfillipo, many nieces, nephews, friends, and remarkable neighbors.

She was blessed with compassionate caregivers for the last 8 months as a resident on Hope 2 at Monroe Community Hospital. 

No prior calling hours. Please join the family for Giuseppa’s service Tuesday, February 27, 2024 @ 11:00am at All Seasons Chapel in White Haven Memorial Park.
