Dear Neil, Rob and I got to know you when your son Matt asked our daughter Angela to marry him. Some people come into your life and add a new level of joy, that was you and Meimei. Family gatherings were special and happy, your smile and kindness to us meant the world. Not only did we share our kids but we got to share a very special granddaughter, whom you loved dearly. We are a very blessed family and blessed to have memories of you both in our hearts. God bless you both.

Neil came by STL to say hello to us in June, 2021. He was his inimitable best. Joking around. Always interested in us more than himself. It was vintage Neil. He was a great mentor to me and I will always be thankful I knew him. God bless.

Neil passed along his love for "the red birds", his work ethic, and big heart to his sons. While I haven't had the pleasure of visiting with him in years, I will remember his jovial nature and love of his family. In reading his obituary, his passion for his work and living life to the fullest with those he loved is so admirable. RIP.

Well John and Donny beat me "to the punch" as they say. I had the great pleasure of meeting Neil through John Evans and we had SO MANY great times together on our annual golf trips at Hilton Head! The photo is perfect...he always had a smile that was contagious. RIP my friend!

I was devastated yesterday when I learned of Neil’s passing. Early in my career Neil was my mentor and later became my good friend. I gained valuable experience working with Neil, and it was his total commitment to his clients that not only has stayed with me to this day, but was a major contribution to my personal success. Neil and I shared a love of sports and when I lived in St. Louis, we attended many Cardinals baseball games and college basketball games. We also played almost every golf course in St. Louis that we could. When I moved to Florida in the early 90s, we would meet at least once a year for a golf outing until the Pandemic put a stop to travel. Neil and I played some of the best golf coursed in St. Louis and the southeast including St. Louis Country Club, Colleton River and Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head Island, and TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course in Ponte Vedra Beach. Neil hit the best shot I have ever seen when he made an eagle 2 on the par 4 second hole at the Palmetto Dunes Jones course.
Neil was forever the optimist and when I last heard from him at the end of this past summer, he was describing his recent surgery and closed his note with “Hopefully I will be ready for our golf trip next year.”
I will miss you Neil.

We met Neil around 1999 in connection with an annual golf outing in Hilton Head. Over the next 25 years, our group got to spend quality time with him over a long weekend each year. Notwithstanding the limited amount of time together each year, Neil was a wonderful friend with a tremendously fun and richly positive presence. During the offseason, he could be counted on for counsel and advice as needed and a good-natured quip or two.
We all looked forward to being with him each Spring, making fun of his swing, applauding his “drive o’matic” tee shots, and soaking in his humor and warmth. We will miss him greatly and are so very grateful that he counted us as his friends and was willing to travel across country to continue our little golfing outing and tradition Each year, we competed for the honor of taking home “The Cup” which will now be renamed to honor his memory.
Play well, Champ. Hopefully, you can hold some tee times for us to join you later. Preferably, a little bit later so you can work out your yips.
Your Hilton Head brothers.

Polly and I were deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend, mentor, colleague and life friend Neil.
We had the privilege of knowing Neil (and Meimei) for 30+ years and the impact Neil had on our lives was immeasurable. Neil was not just a colleague, teacher and mentor, but more importantly a life friend, as well as a source of inspiration, wisdom, and support. Polly and Neil worked closely together for many years and she moved with him to Peper Martin. Neil was instrumental in not only introducing me and Polly, but also introducing us to Bunzl which led to a 25+ year career at the company.
Neil was a brilliant lawyer and also a teacher of life lessons. His kindness, dedication, and respect were truly exceptional.
We will forever cherish the memories of the time we spent together, whether it was working side by side on projects, sharing dinners or sporting events (including the Game 4 Blues Stanley Cup win), or seeking his guidance during challenging moments. Neil was a groomsman at our wedding and involved in many of our significant life events. He touched the lives of many, and his legacy will undoubtedly endure through the positive influence he had on those fortunate enough to know him.
We understand that words alone cannot alleviate the pain of his loss, but please know that his family is in our thoughts and prayers. We all can find strength and solace in the cherished memories we shared with Neil. His spirit will live on through the lives he touched, and his contributions will be remembered with deep respect and gratitude.
