Obituary of Louis Buchiere

Rochester: January 15, 2024. Survived by his wife Carmella; Children, Mark (Tina) and Michele (Ginger); Granddaughters, Sara, Jessica, Melissa (Alex) Caraballo; Great-granddaughter, Zoe; and sister, Phyllis Burgio.

Louis was a first generation Italian American, born on Feb 10th 1930 in Rochester, N.Y.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Upon his return, he met and married his wife of 68 years Carmella DiPerri, & raised 2 children, Mark, & Michele. 

Louis was a Union Member  & retired from Xerox in the early 90s. Upon  retirement, he  worked as a school  crossing guard and enjoyed taking care of the kids as they crossed. They loved him and  called him "Papi". 

Lou enjoyed traveling, was an avid reader, loved cooking and baking for his family and friends. He will be remembered for his cool, casual way, his quirky sense of humor, & his deep abiding love for Carmella. 

We're gonna miss you Dad, Fly with the Angels.
