Obituary of Elizabeth Mae Agliata

PENFIELD- March 2, 1932 - January 1, 2024.

Loving and devoted wife, mother, aunt, sister, grandmother and friend.
Survived by husband Thomas (married 66 years), son Anthony and daughter-in-law Martina, daughter Jane Burke, son Peter and daughter-in-law Anne, daughter Pamela, grandchildren Zachery and Charlotte, brother Donald Trainor and sister-in-law Carol Trainor.

Betty was one of eight children born and raised by Walter Trainor and Eileen Trainor (née Tone) in Niagara Falls NY. Her father died when she was fifteen years old leaving her widowed mother the lone parent of a large family. Betty and her older siblings worked after school and on weekends to bring in extra money. She played a large role in helping her mother to raise her younger siblings. Her passion for the medical field led to a lifelong career as a registered nurse in various arenas including the operating room, the burn ward, the emergency room, neonatal care, and geriatric care. Her considerable empathy and integrity left an indelible mark on the lives of all those she cared for and worked with. She poured life, love, boundless energy and laughter into the family she adored and was selflessly devoted to. She managed all with ease, immeasurable warmth of heart, and an infectious sense of humor. She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
