Andrew “Andy” G. Wascovich

WEBSTER- December 27, 2023.

Andrew G. Wascovich, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2023.  Born October 25, 1966, in Buffalo, NY to Frederick Wascovich and the late Eleanor Wascovich (nee Tompkins).  Andy is survived by his son, Jack; daughter, Marguerite; best friend and mother of his children, Marcy Strassel; father, Fred; sister, Amy (Christopher) Kenney; Barbara (Tracey) DeGeorge; nieces, Madeline (Anthony) Cappuccilli, Alyssa (JC) Glemb, Brittany Strassel, Elizabeth and Jesse DeWaters & Madeleine Honan and nephews, C. Mitchell Loiacano, Dominic DeGeorge, RD (Miriam) Strassel, Nicholas (Kelly) DeWaters & Grayson Honan.

Andy graduated from Lockport Senior High School in 1985.   He joined the United States Air Force where he was a Senior Airman.  He served in Desert Shield and Desert Storm out of Doha, Qatar. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his service.

Following an honorable discharge, he attained his undergraduate degree at University at Buffalo School of Management, in Finance.  Andy then completed his MBA in Finance, Marketing, and Organizational Strategy at the University of Rochester Simon Business School.

A lifelong Bills fan, he attended the games religiously with Fred.  Andy loved spending time with his family, enjoyed Lego building, collecting sports memorabilia, and classic rock.  Andy was a wonderful person who will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, January 6 from 2-4pm at Falvo Funeral Home (1295 Fpt. Nine Mile Pt. Rd. Webster, NY 14580.) A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 8 at 2pm at Cold Springs Cemetery (4849 Cold Springs Rd, Lockport, NY 14094.) Reception to follow burial at 3:30pm at 80 Main Banquet & Catering, Lockport, NY.
