Obituary of Hilda Garcia

Hilda Garcia, 85, passed away on August 24, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Born on May 18th, 1938, in Patillas PR. Found the love of her life Pablo Garcia Sr. and would move to Rochester NY in the early 60’s with their son Pablo Garcia JR. They would go on to have three more children, David, Sandra, and Joanna Garcia.

Hilda worked part time over the years, however she was a homemaker and loved her family. The one person Hilda loved more than her family was the Lord. Hilda had faith like no other. She went to church several times a week and cooked for the church as well. Hilda also worked in the daycare at the church for several years.  So, Hilda had two families; her own and the church which she loved with all her heart.

Hilda  is predeceased by her late husband Pablo Garcia SR and her son Pablo Garcia JR. She is survived by her son and daughter in law David(Sandra)Garcia, her daughters  Sandra and Joanna(Yoend) Garcia. Her grandchildren, Melissa(Chaz) Griffin, Arianna Garcia, Juniorluis Martell, Maria Garcia, Nevin Snyder, Amarilys Martell and Jaymes Huntley.  Great-grandsons Onyx and Zolan Griffin, and her sister -Maria Mercedes Texidor from Hartford, Connecticut. Hilda also leaves behind many friends and family.

Family and friends are welcome Wednesday, 8/30/23 from 4pm to 7pm at Falvo Funeral Home,1395 Goodman St. N. Rochester NY 14609. Family and friends are welcome.

Hilda’s Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday, 8/31/2023 at 11am at the Funeral Home as well with Rev. Elias Nieves JR. of Hildas church, Obra De Dios Pentecostal. Interment Riverside Cemetery.
