I do not remember a day of my childhood that you were not a part of, Aunt Evie. You taught me how to swim by repeatedly tossing me into Lake Ontario, you “let” us keep Susan occupied so that you could get things done in the house & take care of baby Paul by allowing us to play hide n seek for hours all through your house or roller skate in the basement, & you gave me the very important job of polishing your apples when you came home from grocery shopping! You never judged or scolded & kept Uncle Joey in-line. The pool on Andrea Lane was always open to us & then to my kids.
When you knew your time with us was coming to an end you allowed us to believe that we had more time with you…Thank You…because if I had thought that was going to be the last time I would see your beautiful face Memorial Weekend, I would have never left your side. You said to me, “I’ll miss our phone calls.”, Not as much as I will…feel free to visit me in my dreams any time.

Aunt Ev, I will miss you so very much, but I know you are happy and at peace being surrounded by Uncle Joe, Susan, my mom, and your big, wonderful family. I will miss your stories, how you made me laugh everytime we talked, watching the Bills with you, our dinners at Bill Gray's, your beautiful smile and watching you make everyday count. Thank you for all the love you gave to me and for being such a positive influence in my life.

I love you so much Aunt Evie. You were always such a bright light in our family. I’ve never seen you without a smile on your face. Our family will not be the same without you. These pictures are from the last time I had the opportunity to spend with you. You were so positive even while sitting in that hospital room knowing you would soon be reunited with your family. You talked so much about Jennifer and Masent, they were your whole world. Your last concern before I left was how you wanted your nails to look haha. You were always dressed soooo beautifully Aunt Evie. And don’t you worry about your nails, they look fabulous! I love you, we are all at peace knowing you are in the arms of Jesus now ❤️

Life and visits to Rochester will never be the same for me without aunt Evie. She was a remarkable, fulfilled, spirited, funny, loving, kind, thoughtful aunt and the best cook, who will be missed forever more. She joined the rest of our family in heavenly peace and we shall meet again. My heartfelt condolences go to my cousins at this sad time. She lived a wonderful, long life and her family was everything to her. She met every challenge thrown at her but somehow still managed having great spirit at all times and her smile lit up a room. I will miss you my beautiful aunt. Rest in peace now.
Your niece,
Gail (Coco) Skennion
