I only recently learned of Mr. Miller's passing while paying one of my regular visits to Curt’s grave, and was shocked to learn of his passing. I will never forget Mr. Miller’s enveloping me at the time of Curt’s loss and am so thankful for his including me and making me feel like a part of the family at such a difficult time. My deepest condolences to all the Miller family - I think of you all often with the fondest of memories.

We have had so many happy times together over the past twelve years from numerous “after bowling” dinners, sailing, antique shows, Naples Art Festivals, birthday and anniversary celebrations, over-night stays, and our infamous Euchre card games.
Don was so proud of his family and shared their accomplishments with us so we could know them better.
We also shared his love of birding and gardening and traded plants (he always found room for more plants)
Don, our kind and honest friend, a positive role model and gentleman. His presence in our lives is already missed.

One of the greatest testaments to me throughout my life was Don's reason for never becoming disheartened or despairing despite the overwhelming challenges and losses he faced in life. His words constantly ring in my mind when I asked how he was able to get through the loss of son Curtis, his wife and his dad within the same year, "It's my faith that gets me through." Amen Don. It's your words of faith that continues to help me get through, redeemed my bad decisions and motivated my vocation despite the tragedies that befell me.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Don and Elaine were the first ones to welcome us to the neighborhood. And what a welcome! He was such a spirited, good- natured man, a joy to have as next-door neighbor. He was down to earth and yet also very spiritual. You could talk to him about anything. He had quite a bit of tragedy in his life but he remained always positive. His down-to earth-sense of humor helped. Besides always inviting us for dinner or drinks, he helped me build our pond, helped to fix the fence, gave advice on gardening and laughed at me when I told him the deer had eaten all my tulips. "Nobody around here plants tulips!". His love for his children is reflected in the love his children have been giving to Elaine. Don, Tom and I miss you so!
