Randy graduated from Eastridge High School in 1968. After a brief time working at Eastman Kodak, he was drafted into the army in 1970. He was fortunate to be stationed in Germany instead of Vietnam. Due to an army injury, he was released early. He returned to Eastman Kodak’s Construction Floor Gang, where he poured cement floors for 28 years throughout many Kodak buildings. He worked for his Dad (a.k.a. Chach) for a few years. His Dad was Foreman of the Floor Gang and one of the toughest bosses Randy ever had! The gang, including his Dad, went to work an hour early to have coffee and play cards before tackling each trying day. Randy and his Dad worked 50 years collectively, consecutively, at Eastman Kodak.
Randy was an avid NY Yankees fan, one-of-a-kind, quick-witted, had a heart of gold and was the most loving and devoted man to his family and friends.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the providers of Highland Hospital’s ICU for their outstanding and compassionate care.
Randy’s Catholic funeral service will be officiated by Father Bob Werth on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Peace of Christ Parish at St. James, 130 Brett Road, Rochester, NY 14609, at 10am. Burial will immediately follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY 14612.
Memorial donations may be made to Peace of Christ Parish at St. James in Randy’s name.
You are forever in our hearts, Randy. May you finally rest in peace in the arms of Jesus. We love you “MORE.”
