Obituary of Marlene Miriam Marvin

Marlene Miriam Marvin (Watts), age 86, of Rochester, New York, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023.

Marlene was born August 1, 1936, in Tacoma Park, Maryland to her mother, Elizabeth Watts, and her father, Loyd Watts.

Marlene resided in Rochester, New York, for most of her life and also spent three years in Garden City, South Carolina.

Along with raising her four children, she spent many years working in hospitality, hosting and managing fine dining restaurants. Marlene was warm and witty, and loved to tell a good story. She was an avid football fan and loved the Buffalo Bills. But most important to her was her family, whom she loved deeply. She beamed with pride when speaking of each of them. She will be missed terribly.

Marlene is predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth and Loyd Watts; stepfather Ormond Jones; former husband, Robert Marvin; and best friend, Phyllis Baker.
Her memory will be cherished by: two half sisters, Barbara Keats Watts and Nancy Watts; four children, Don Marvin (Robi), Keith Marvin (Susan), Christine Marvin, Kenneth Marvin (Jeanne); 10 grandchildren, Dewey, Jennifer, Tiffany, Amy, Kyle, Jamie, Sara, Michelle, Matthew, and Zachary; 14 great grandchildren, Arica, Maddie, Dominic, Mercedes, Grace, Nicholas, Grant, Eliot, Alanna, Rosie, Atlas, Luna, Ryan and Max; and one great great grandchild, Emery. She also maintained close relationship with her daughter's former partner, Tim Kelley.

Services were private.
