My memories of Tony have always been fond. Whenever I think of Tony, I smile instantly. I never met someone who had so much charisma. He always had a way of leaning in to tell you a story that made you feel like you were the only one in the room. Tony had one of the biggest hearts and thought of everyone first. You can count on him for a comic version of whatever story was being told at the time. His sense of humor went far beyond anyone I ever knew. One of my favorite memory with them was when I was about 18 years old. They took me to the horse races, Saratoga Springs. Tony taught me all the tricks, and the beam of light shown through him as he described how it all worked is embedded in my mind forever. I think of him on a daily basis as I explain to my guests at Disney how Saratoga Springs resort is modeled after a real place in NY. When Rosene and Tony came to stay with me in Florida I never wanted them to leave. They made my world full of color and joy and even rearranged my cupboards! We had so much fun together. I secretly hoped they would move here forever. Visiting with him was always the highlight of my visits home. He will be genuinely missed. Heaven gained a lively and beautiful soul. I love you Tony and always will.

Uncle Anthony,
I can’t believe that only after 1 yr since Dad passed, you have joined him, Mom and the rest of the family in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. My most favorite memory of you was the letters you sent me twice a week when you were stationed in Da Nang, Vietnam, with pictures of you & the orphans. Oh how you loved the orphans! Your loving and caring heart is what made you such a Special person. I will cherish all of my memories with you & Rossene.
Loving & missing you forever,
Your Niece Donna

Tony and I were best friends. We met when we were 9 years old. He was the only left handed batter we had. However, he bowled right handed. Boy could he bowl. He was the best! When we were drafted into the army, Tony actually joined so he could go to SCHOOL. We were together unat Ft Dix NJ for the first week and then we were split up for basic training. I didn't see him again until he surprised me when he came to Ft Carson Colorado in route to Ft Lee Virginia for cooking and baking school. When we were together, we both got tattoos of Jesus. Tony hated pain and needles and I had to keep him from passing out! Our Jesus tattoos were beautiful. My mother had just told my sisters to never go out with anyone with tattoos because they are unstable! Can you imagine that? We always tried to keep in touch. Tony was in for three years and me only two. Tony was home on leave when I came home for my first trip from the hospital at Fort Devins ,Mass after a few months after getting wounded in Vietnam. When he came to the door and saw me on crutches, we both started crying. Then we had a Coia feast with the family. Lots of love and great food!
When Tony came to visit us in Florida the first time, he continued his love for great food. He gave us a cooking lesson. We were glad to do it. He gave us the recipes for ricotta gnocchi and Concetta's famous lemon cookies. We made enough to last us a month!
When You and Tony visited us together, how can we forget eating at the Bubble Room and a very special day at Norman Love Chocolates. Of course we also went to the Casino! Ha Ha. Tony came to Florida several times to play golf and just be great friends. I love you Tony! Kathy and I love you Tony!

I was saddened to see the announcement that Tony had passed. My sincere condolences to the family. I met Tony when we were both inducted into the Air Force on the same day in 1970. We went through basic training together. He was a very steady and calm personality that handled the chaos well. We subsequently went to different locations for Tech Schools but kept in touch by mail. We eventually lost touch when he was stationed in Japan.
He was an all around good guy. Rest in peace

To Tony,
"Love expressed
is never lost,
for God brings love to life;
His hand creates
the precious bond
between a man and wife.
With grace
He shelters memories
held deep within the heart;
To strengthen
and to comfort them
whenever they're apart.
For God will call them
home one day,
eternity to gain;
His arms outstretched
to welcome one,
the other to sustain."
Love, Wifey
