Obituary of Michelle Collazo

On October 28th,2022 at the age of 45 Michelle Collazo peacefully passed away. 

Michelle was predeceased by her grandparents RAUL + Ramona Collazo, she was survived by her mother Luz Collazo, her sister Lizette Andujar, her nieces Julisa, Jamilex and her newphew Jason. Also many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Michelle was born on March 26,1977 and despite the challenges she faced at a very young age Michelle was determined to live life to the fullest. She graduated from Wilson Magnet HS, she got a part time at sears and in 98’ she passed her driving test and received her drivers license. 

On November 21, 2000 Michelle was given a second chance at life. She received a Kidney and Pancreas Transplant. 

By receiving this miracle Michelle got to see her nieces and nephew grow up and they were her WORLD. She was able to be apart of many special moments within the family. She was truly our blessing, our angel on earth. 

Michelle had a smile that truly spoke for her. She will never lead you with any complaints only with strength and courage. She really was truly a fighter. 

We struggle to find the words to describe the sadness this leaves in the hearts of her family and friends. Michelle’s memories will live in our hearts and minds. We will love her always and will never for get her smile. 

On behalf of the Collazo family we want to give a special THANK YOU to the URMC staff. she was a big part of the Transplant + Nephrology family. Also to all the Doctors & Nurse who provided special care to Michelle over the years. 

Calling hours will be held on Thursday November 3,2022 , from 4.00 pm - 8:00pm at Falvos Funeral Homes. Funeral serves will be held on Friday November 4,2022 , at 10:00am at Corpus Christi Church 864 Main St, Rochester Ny 14605. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
