Obituary of Janis Jankovits

Janis passed away peacefully on October 17, 2022, at the age of 94. She is predeceased by her husband, Charles; Brothers, Donald, Lawrence and Floyd Hughes, Sister-in-law Gretchen Hughes. Son in Law, Moises Santiago Jr; Survived by her children, Mary Santiago, Martha (Gerald) Rick, Laurie (David) Murphy; Grandchildren, Alia (Ryan) Carr, Rebekah Santiago (Tim Shamp); Great Grandchildren, Londyn, Taryn and Timmy Jr; Sisters-in-laws, Joyce, and Sally Hughes; several beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Janis’s parents were Carroll and Margaret Hughes; she was born on April 8th, 1928, and grew up in Arcade, Ny.

Calling Hours/Reception will be held at Greece Assembly of God Church 750 Long Pond Rd, Rochester, NY 14612 Friday, October 28th from 12-2pm. Celebration of life service will follow at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Compass Care (https://www.compasscare.info/donate/)
