Obituary of Julio Ortiz

Julio Ortiz of Rochester, New York passed away on Thursday , October 19, 2022, at the age of 97. After several months of declining health, Julio died peacefully with his beloved wife Maria by his side. 

Julio was born in  Patillas, Puerto Rico on September 5,1926. Julio worked at Kodak for 30 years. His work ethic and desire to take care of his family was always first. 

Julio is survived by his wife Maria Figueroa, and four kids: Ivette Dufour, (Dan) Rafael Velazquez, (Nilsa) Wanda Velazquez, (Carlos) Edwin Velazquez. His grandkids Elizabeth Lopez, Mercedes Ruiz, Wanda ruiz, Anibal Ruiz, Iesha Velazquez, Nasia Velazquez, Rafael Velasquez, Maria Ramos, Selena Ramos, Thalia Ramos, and Carlos Ramos, Peter Velazquez, Edwin Velazquez jr., Polo Velazquez, Liz Marie, Martini, Edlyanyz, Yalianiz, Stevon Erwin, and many more grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Calling hours Monday 4-7 at Falvo Funeral Home and Funeral Service Tuesday 10am both in Falvo Funeral Home, 1395 N. Goodman Street Rochester, NY 14609. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
